DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our first Aging Connection event hosted by South Bay Independent Living. This is a great opportunity for working professionals and business owners in the Senior and Estate Planning industry to meet and network with like minded individuals. This is a time for anyone who has a business assisting the aging population or caregivers to come together for meaningful networking and learn about the State of Seniors in SC. Appetizers and drinks will be provided by the culinary team at South Bay. \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Stephanie Blunt\n\n\n\nStephanie Blunt is the Executive Director of Trident Area Agency on Aging in North\n\nCharleston\, SC. She was hired as Program Manager in August 2000 and was promoted as\n\nExecutive Director in January 2002. Under the direction of the Trident Area Agency on Aging\n\nBoard of Directors\, Stephanie provides oversight for federal\, state and private funds used for\n\nserving seniors and family caregivers. She leads the development of strategic and operational\n\nplans in support of the agency's mission and the priorities developed under the Regional Area\n\nPlan for Aging Services.\n\n\n\nPrior to Stephanie's employment at Trident Area Agency on Aging\, she was the Program\n\nDirector for Berkeley Seniors\, a service provider that served well over three hundred seniors\n\nand adults with disabilities daily. She supervised the administration of in-home and\n\ncommunity-based services such as transportation\, home delivered meals\, congregate meals\, in-\n\nhome care\, adult day services\, and health promotion.\n\n\n\nStephanie graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in English. Her\n\ncurrent\, professional affiliations include: USAging Board of Directors\, Southeastern Association\n\nof Area Agencies on Aging Board of Directors\, South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public\n\nHealth Long-Term Care Leadership Council\, and the Kiwanis Club of Charleston.
