Moultrie News  June 9, 2025

The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPPC) is proud to announce the appointment of Sarah Tuley, President of Novant Health: East Cooper Medical Center, to its Board of Directors.

Sarah brings over 18 years of leadership in healthcare operations, strategic planning, financial oversight and quality patient care. As the current President of East Cooper Medical Center, she is responsible for driving operational excellence and advancing health outcomes in the Lowcountry.

A South Carolina native, Sarah has also called Tennessee and Colorado home, but is thrilled to be back in the Palmetto State to serve her community. Outside of the hospital, she’s a passionate hiker and traveler who has successfully summited iconic peaks around the globe, including Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Mount Chegem (Russia), Ben Macdhui (Scotland), and Mount Elbert (Colorado).

Adding even more depth to her background, Sarah is a classically trained opera singer who has performed with prestigious orchestras such as the London Symphony, Nashville Symphony and Charleston Symphony.

Sarah is deeply committed to giving back through her work with organizations such as GIVE Volunteers, Missions for Africa, Compassion International, the American Heart Association, March of Dimes and Charleston’s own Bands of Wando Foundation.

“We are honored to welcome Sarah to our Board,” said Mount Pleasant Chamber Executive Director Rebecca Imholz. “Her passion for healthcare, community engagement and leadership will be an incredible asset as we continue to support and grow Mount Pleasant’s vibrant business community.”
