The second iteration of BloomTown Flower Market at 966 Houston Northcutt Boulevard was the scene for an April 22 ribbon-cutting, celebrating the shop's recent relocation from its Coleman Boulevard location.
Originally opened in May of 2022 by co-owners Christy "CC" Collins and Liz Ewald, BloomTown is a traditional floral retailer with a twist. Patrons are welcome to select their own flowers and arrange them in their own signature style. This unique feature has made the retail venue a popular spot for workshop gatherings.
"I realized there was such a disconnect between grocery store flowers and full-service florists. I wanted to make flowers more accessible to the public," said Collins.
That accessibility consists of presenting customers with a range of DIY opportunities, whether they're composing arrangements for a wedding, prom or baby shower.
In addition, Collins noted that BloomTown is more economical than other similar full-service flower retailers.
When sharing the reason for the recent move, Collins stated: "It's easier access, certainly more centrally-located. It's a lot brighter; everyone can see what we offer."
The ribbon-cutting was attended by Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce reps, along with members of Town staff.
